.Attempt.Two.

Attempt.Two
After discovering some of the frames stuck out further then the others there was a suggested option of scraping the nails and going with industrial strength Velcro instead. Also the images on my wall had been moved closer together to create a more focus on the group of pictures rather then one picture at a time. The Velcro worked for a while but being expensive and in short supply it had to be spread out and made to last which didn't work well as I resulted in breaking a frame when it fell off the wall. I had already broken and repairers 3 frames previously and didn't want to have to fix any more. So over the weekend I will search for alternative solutions to my problem.

Final.Exhibition.Preparations.

The Chaos of Preparing.

The time has come to put up and sort out my final exhibition at Hull College. My previous blog was showing how i would like to layout my wall, this one shows how it all looks ON the wall. Just a single nail for each picture, but first I drew them all out on paper the nailed through the paper while it was on the wall so I got them all in the right places. In these picture they are hung on the wall but not all of them are straight yet and still lots of mess about, but I think it's looking good! Organised Chaos :)

Exhibition Layout.

Slightly cartoon like sketches of my wall layout for the final exhibition at hull college. This is to let people know more about each image if they wanted to know, going to try and get these either mounted on part of my exhibition wall, or printed and put on my shelf.

Traditional Drawing

Lately everything I've done has been digital drawing or simple cartoons on the wall, I felt like i hadn't done any proper drawing in ages! so today I tried using Charcoal with my watercolours as I hardly use charcoal, and I think it went well :)

London Bike one.

Very quick layout practice for one of the sketches, not sure if I'll end up using this or not.
I'm going to try out some more layouts, work on this a bit more and may be even change to something different. :)

London Bycicle Sketches

Three quick drawings for the London Bycicle event, the colours are digital and the rest is hand drawn, not sure what i'm gonna do with them yet but these are the basics.

HSAD Poster

A quick idea for the HSAD end of year show, the theme was breaking free or freedom so I stuck with my splashy paint look and used the box image as a bursting forth and being free thing. I wasn't sure of the exact details like the date, time and whether or not it was just for the illustration part or the whole school so I left it blank for now.

Lists of lists of lists.

Long Weekends
Well, after a grueling long weekend of nothing
but research and putting work together I've
managed to gather up a small list of contacts
including book publishers, magazine art directors,
gallery owners, art event people and event
photographers, only a short list but it's the best
I can do in short notice! Just a short paragraph
to let y'all know what I've been up to.
